Things to do in Lincolshire…

The company which brought you Jesus Christ Superstar and Oliver! has revealed plans to perform a musical at Lincoln Castle.

Shrek the Musical will once again be a community production from The Starring Lincoln Theatre Company but this time with a change of venue.

The company has become well know for it productions at Lincoln Cathedral starting with Jesus Christ Superstar (2015 and 2016) and then Jekyll and Hyde (2017) and most recently Oliver!.

A post on The Starring Lincoln Theatre Company’s Facebook page reads: “Whilst we are not in our beautiful venue of Lincoln Cathedral next year, but hope to return in 2021, we have the exciting prospect of creating an amazing event in Lincoln Castle, our city’s other iconic public building.

“We will be performing the Broadway and West End hit, Shrek the Musical, from 18th July to the 1st August, 2020. Once again we will invite anyone from our local community,(and further if you’re committed!) to inhabit the land of Far, Far Away!

“Many of you who have been to see Oliver!, expressed an interest in taking part rather than watching so this will be your opportunity!”
