Things to do in Lincolshire…

Follow Alice and the White Rabbit as they set off on a colourful, topsy-turvy adventure like no other and meet a host of outlandish characters including the troublesome twins, Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee, the notorious Queen of Hearts, the Cheshire cat and of course, The Mad Hatter.

Immersion Theatre which produces family theatre will bring an outdoor performance of Alice in Wonderland to Lincoln Castle.

Artistic director, James Tobias, said: “I wrote and directed a musical adaptation of Alice in Wonderland which we toured in 2017.

“As a creative who writes all our family shows, it’s very important to me that the product and experience we provide audiences is constantly developing and improving.

“I was very proud of the show we created in 2017 and the feedback we received, however, edits are currently under way which I feel will see the show appeal to a broader range of ages and create a slicker, more interactive, and rounded production with increased production value.”

Immersion produces pantomime, family theatre, open-air, drama, and large-scale musical theatre.

“As someone who is incredibly passionate about pantomime and family theatre, I am driven by the knowledge that every time one of our shows is performed, it is highly likely that we will be someone’s first theatrical experience and it is a privilege and responsibility which drives me to create the best show I can.

“As such, having the opportunity to re-visit such a loved and popular story is something I’m looking forward to immensely”.

Families will have the opportunity to meet the characters after the show and everyone is invited to head along dressed up as their favourite.

Lincoln Castle. Wednesday, July 31. Gates: 6pm. Performance: 7pm. Adults: £13.50, concs: £11.50, child £9.50. Book online.
