Things to do in Lincolshire…

An event described as a ‘deathly fiesta’ is on its way to the Engine Shed in Lincoln with a new production that infuses carnival, circus, theatre and a club night.

New for 2019, Festival of the Dead presents ‘The Dark Carnival’ with a fresh cast of characters and otherworldly creations, acrobats, circus performers, carnival processions through the crowd, all set to an exhilarating soundtrack.

The tour will visit the city on Friday, November 8, with a production offering an immersive experience and a great party, with music, dancing and entertainment all night long.

Live acts and performances, carnival scenes and Halloween-inspired hedonism are all on offer, as well as live music and DJs spinning killer tunes.

The concept of the festival is inspired by the art of Day of The Dead celebrations, and the night is set to a soundtrack of music including rock, drum n bass, indie, house and carnival.

Festival-goers are expected to join in by dressing up in macabre outfits, and professional face painters will be on hand to help with the finishing touches.

Festival Of The Dead grew from a single Halloween party in London to an event that has now sold over 85,000 tickets across the UK and Europe.

Organiser, Nathan Reed, said: “We’ve been working flat out since last year to create an even bigger and better show.

“Every year we push the boundaries of a live show and we can’t wait to see the crowd reactions when they meet the new creatures we’ve built to join them at ‘The Dark Carnival’.

“Our guests are also part of the show and seem to up their game each year too, with some incredible make up and costumes.”

General admission early bird tickets to Lincoln’s Engine Shed have now sold out. General release tickets are still available priced £26.29. Book online here

The party starts at 10pm.
