Events: UK’s largest gin and rum festival is coming to Lincoln

One of the UK’s largest drinks festivals is set to bring the crowds into Lincoln.

The Gin and Rum Festival, which is the largest of its kind in the country, is set to take place in the city this weekend.

The festival, which is taking place at the Engine Shed, in the University of Lincoln, will give people the chance to get tips from some of the best gin and rum producers in the country.

There will also be themed bars allowing visitors to sample more 60 different gins and 60 different rums.

Visitors will be entertained by live performances from the festivals’ resident DJ, who will play music of all genres, and other live artists.

Every person who goes to the festival will get their own free satchel bag and a complementary Copa glass.

Entry is for over 18’s only and costs under £15, while alcoholic drinks are £5 each inside the venue and food will be available.

The festival will run from 6.30pm on Friday, August 16 until 11pm on Saturday, August 17.
