A man has died suddenly in Grantham.

An air ambulance was dispatched to a property on Rugby Road at 11.44am on Monday, September 9 after a man collapsed in the street.

This morning, Wednesday, September 11, officials revealed that someone had died – having previously only said the air ambulance had been called out.

Police say the death is not being treated as suspicious.

A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police said: “We received a report of a sudden death in Rugby Road, Grantham, at around 11.44am on Monday 9 Sept.

“A man in his 60s was confirmed to have died.

“This death is not being treated as suspicious and this matter has been passed to the coroner.”

A number of different road ambulances also attended the scene.

A spokesperson for East Midlands Ambulance Service said: ““We received a call at 11.44am on September 9 to a private address in Grantham.

 

“The caller reported a medical emergency. We sent a paramedic in a fast response car, a road ambulance and an air ambulance.”
