Police have revealed a 15-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with an incident in Lincoln.

The teenager has been detained after police were called to Winn Street in the Monks Road part of the city last night, Wednesday, September 11.

One woman wrote on social media that she had seen “loads” of police in the area.

Police have now revealed that officers were scrambled amid reports of an assault in the area.

 

A force spokesperson said: “A 15-year-old boy was arrested last night, September 11 in the area of Monks Road , Lincoln, on suspicion of assault and possession of a weapon.

“A device, believed to be a Taser, was recovered at the address.”

A tweet from PC Wray at Lincoln North Police about the incident added: “Male wanted for an assault involving the use of a Taser refused to answer the door and began to barricade it.

“Luckily I have a key that’s big and red and fits all doors.

“Entry gained, suspect arrested and illegal Taser recovered.”
