Another Lincolnshire Highlights news story…

A developer is being sought for a multi-million pound project to build 100 homes just outside of Lincoln.

PPH Commercial is looking for someone to build houses on 11.63 acres of canal side land at Burton Waters which is just outside of the city.

The development already has planning permission for 100 residential units and property developers are being invited to table offers.

Planning permission was previously granted for a hotel to be built on part of the site and now further planning has been approved for 100 homes.

Burton Waters is centered around a purpose-built inland marina for 200 boats and already has over 300 houses and apartments, restaurants, leisure centre, pub, retail outlets and fishing lodges.

Chartered surveyor Tom Penrose, the PPH director who is handling the sale, believes the development site offers a rare opportunity to acquire residential development land in an outstanding location.

He said: “In my opinion, Burton Waters is probably one of the best locations for a new housing development in the whole of Lincolnshire.

“Since the man-made marina was completed, it has proven to be a very popular residential community with occupiers benefiting from its 24-hour security and exclusive environment.

There is also permission for a hotel

“The beautiful vibrant marina, combined with a countryside setting and leisure facilities will definitely appeal to owners who want privacy and an exclusive semi-rural feel.”
