The coastguard and bomb disposal squad were called to Skegness beach after members of the public found two possible unexploded bombs.

Crews from Mablethorpe and Skegness coastguard were paged by Humber Coastguard just before 10am yesterday morning, Tuesday, August 13.

Once at the scene the first object was located and photographed and the information was passed on to the Explosive Ordnance Disposal team (EOD).

Whilst crews were on the scene they were approached by another member of the public to a second item about half a mile further down the beach.

The beach had to be cordoned off while crews sent details to EOD.
