Another Lincolnshire Highlights news story…

New luxury holiday lodges will be opening near Clumber Park next month.

The Clumber Park Lodges have been a work in progress for more than a year and are set to add a new dimension to families looking to visit the beloved park.

The 40-acre site will house 53 holiday lodges – some of which come equipped with hot tubs. Also included will be a shop and a small reception for holidaymakers.

A recruitment drive at the site is underway, with the development creating 70 new jobs. Current vacancies up for grabs includes receptions staff, cleaners and a security officer.

Sam Wall, commercial director at the park’s owner, Coppergreen Leisure Resorts, told Nottinghamshire Live: “Our aim is to provide an excellent standard of accommodation and exceptional customer service. Our accommodation is of the highest standard boasting contemporary, spacious living areas and lots of thoughtful touches have been added such as bubbling hot tubs to provide an unforgettable holiday experience.

“They are a home away from home with very contemporary design. They have a cosy and modern feel to them. We have worked closely with all designers to get the look we are going for. They are fresh and a high standard.”

The lodges, some of which are pet friendly, will have between two and four bedrooms and will be priced from £285 for off-peak short breaks.

There will also be a second phase of development after the park opens, with more lodges planned and also a cafe bar, which will be ready in August.

Coppergreen is also in discussion with neighbouring businesses, including the National Trust, which oversees Clumber Park, to see if arrangements or deals can be made for Clumber Park Lodges customers.

The company owns several other holiday parks and they have decided to open a new centre in Nottinghamshire because of its links to the countryside and activities.

Mrs Wall added: “I am so proud and excited. I have been to Clumber Park a number of times with my son and as a kid so to think we are building our new holiday park close by is just fabulous. It is a lovely place.”
