News: Outraged landlord video-shames tenant who trashed his house

Another Lincolnshire Highlights news story…

A landlord has taken to social media to show how one of his properties has been turned into a complete tip by a tenant who still owes him thousands of pounds.

Neil Crossland, of Lincs Property, lets out houses, bedsits and shops and has posted a shocking video on Facebook which captures the filthy mess at the flat in Louth.

He sarcastically thanks the tenant for “leaving my flat like this…and £5,000 owing in rent.”

The footage takes the viewer on a grim tour of what would be a really good property – if someone had bothered to tidy up.

The action starts in the bathroom where the floor is littered with magazines.

There’s also a black bin bag of rubbish in the bath tub.

The film then pans to the kitchen – where you wouldn’t dream of preparing a meal in its current state.

What a mess

In the sink is a bowl of grey water, full of unwashed pots, there’s a plate of half-eaten food on the draining board, a freezer in the middle of floor, and a washing machine with a box of rubbish placed on top.

And there’s another tatty looking magazine left on the worktop.

Neil then moves on to the living room and it’s anything but cosy. The cushions have disappeared from the settee and a full ashtray and a couple of beer bans litter the coffee table.

The bedroom is also a mess. Three bags of rubbish are stacked in a corner.

Not exactly what you’d call a des res – for the time being at least.
