Firefighters and paramedics were called to a flat on fire after in Skegness.

Officials said it is believed an adult and a child were treated for smoke inhalation and confirmed that a patient was admitted to hospital.

Fifteen firefighters attended the incident which happened in Barnes Crescent at about 7pm on Monday, September 9.

The lounge and contents were destroyed and the rest of the ground floor flat was smoke damaged.

 

A fire service spokesperson said everyone was out of the property when firefighters arrived.

They said: “I believe an adult and a child were treated for smoke inhalation by the ambulance service.”

 

A spokesman for East Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We received a call at 7.14pm on September 9 to Barnes Crescent in Skegness.

“The caller reported that there was a fire. We sent a LIVES community first responder and an ambulance.

“One patient was taken to Boston Pilgrim Hospital by ambulance.”
