One post said: “Honestly, how can you go home and look at yourself in the mirror if you take the minus offer on.”

Another said: “Noooooooo!! So annoying when people pick the minus offer.”

A third commented on Paul’s thoughts: “‘I don’t think that’s the worst decision I’ve ever seen’. Nope – I suspect Twitter won’t agree with you Paul….

Another added: “Takes money away from the pot and now wants to take her share. F****** disgusting and disgraceful. Has she no shame or any shred of decency?”

In the final round, Deanne joined Adam and Janice from Southport to score 19 (the chasers got the first question wrong adding a point), but viewers were wondering if there was something wrong with her buzzer.

One said: “Deanne needs help her button is broken.”

Another said: “Is Deanne’s buzzer working?”

But Paul had a nightmare getting six questions wrong. He tried to win it back at the end but fell short by two points.

This meant that they all won £3,000 each, but viewers had issues with this, some demanding a rule change.

One said: “Deane didn’t deserve a penny. Nothing annoys me more than people who go low.”
