News: The verdict is in – this is what Lincoln people think about the new footbridge

The people of Lincoln have had their say on the Lincoln’s newest footbridge, which opened to the public for the first time today.

The bridge, which runs over the level crossing in Brayford Wharf East, finally opened after months of delays.

Now the public have a chance to see what all the fuss was about, we went and asked them whether they thought it had been worth it.

“I think it’s really cool design, I think it’s really modern and funky for Lincoln and I think it’s good we’ve got something like this,” said one member of the public.

“I think it’s actually really nice to be honest,” said another.

“It’s not as bad as I thought it was going to be,” said their companion.

Others remarked on the good view you can get from the top of the bridge, although this has received criticism from residents living nearby.
