Three splash parks are set to re-open this weekend as forecasters are predicting some warmer weather on the horizon.
Bassetlaw District Council announced the decision to open the popular water play facilities in Retford and Worksop.
They’ve encouraged parents to take their kids along for one final summer blow out before temperatures plummet at the facilities at Kings’ Park in Retford, The Canch in Worksop and Langold Park.
Weather watchers are predicting that Retford could see highs of 21C over the course of the weekend.
The parks will be open from Thursday, September 12 until Sunday September 15.
Earlier in the year the splash park at Kings’ Park in Retford had to be closed while they carried out a deep cleanse of the spray heads and water facility.
Kings’ Park was recently voted the best park in the East Midlands.
A post on Bassetlaw District Council’s Facebook page said: “Don’t pack away that swimwear just yet!
The sun is set to shine over the weekend, so why not enjoy the summer a little bit longer.
In Retford on Saturday weather watchers are predicting widespread sunshine and highs of 19C.
Looking to Sunday it is expected to be a similar picture with highs of 21C throughout the day with sunshine.
