News: Woman, 34, dies after multi-vehicle crash involving two cars and a lorry

A woman has died after a multi-vehicle crash involving two cars and a lorry in Tickhill.

Emergency services rushed to Tickhill Road at 3.40pm on June 12 after reports of a collision involving a Citreon Picasso, silver Mercedes C Class and a Scania LGV.

The Mercedes car was travelling along the road towards Maltby when it collided with the lorry. The Scania LGV left the carriageway of the road after it collided with the Citreon.

South Yorkshire Police have confirmed that the 34-year-old driver of the Mercedes died after she was airlifted to hospital as a result of her injuries.

 

A 75-year-old man and 74-year-old inside the Picasso were also rushed to hospital. Both of their injuries are not thought to be serious.

The 28-year-old lorry driver was uninjured in the incident.

South Yorkshire Police are now appealing for people to come forward with information that may assist them in their enquiries.

A spokesperson for the force said: “Officers are now appealing for anyone who saw what happened yesterday to contact them.

“They are particularly keen to speak to anyone who has any dashcam footage of the collision, or the moments prior to it.

“If you have any information that might help our officers, please contact 101 quoting incident number 516 of June 12.”
