Sports: Huddersfield vs Lincoln City team news – new signing Aaron Lewis makes Imps debut

Lincoln City have made five changes for tonight’s Carabao Cup first round tie at Huddersfield Town.

The men to come into the side are goalkeeper Grant Smith, new signing Aaron Lewis, Ellis Chapman, Bruno Andrade and John Akinde, with Josh Vickers, Neal Eardley, Michael O’Connor, Jorge Grant and Tyler Walker making way.

Smith will line up behind a back four of, from right to left, Lewis, Cian Bolger, Michael Bostwick and Harry Toffolo.

Chapman and Joe Morrell are set to operate as the deeper-lying midfielders, with former Huddersfield man Jack Payne playing just behind Akinde, with Harry Anderson and Andrade out wide.

 

Huddersfield manager Jan Siewert has made 10 changes to the side which drew with QPR in the Championship on Saturday.

Town:  Schofield; Bockhorn, Edmonds-Green, Stankovic, Brown; Bacuna, Chalobah, Brown; Kachunga, Koroma, Mbenza

Subs:  Coleman, Hadergjonaj, O’Brien, Daly, Mounie, Quaner, van La Parra.

Imps: Smith; Lewis, Bolger, Bostwick, Toffolo; Anderson, Chapman, Morrell, Andrade; Payne; Akinde.

Subs: Vickers, O’Connor, Adebayo-Smith, Walker, Grant, Eardley, Sault.
